Big wheels keep on turning for Common Desk in 2019, and we’re so excited to finally announce that after years of anticipation, we’re finally heading to Richardson, Texas! Not only are we heading to Richardson, we’re also heading to one of the hottest spots in North Texas right now, as well as one of the most premium new buildings in DFW. Where exactly, you ask? We’ll be setting up camp in floors one and two of 3400 at CityLine in partnership with Transwestern Development Company and UBS Asset Management, and we couldn’t be more excited to call Richardson home in just a few short months.

Upon opening in fall 2019, Common Desk members will get to enjoy flexible office space and all-inclusive amenities right off of N. Central Expressway and Renner Road. Common Desk – Richardson will be our eighth DFW coworking location (crazy, right?), following the openings of its sister spaces, Common Desk – Addison and Common Desk – Trammell Crow Center later this year.

The DL On Common Desk – CityLine

Our first Richardson coworking space will feature floor to ceiling natural light for exterior offices, high-end design, the all-inclusive offerings you know and love at currently open Common Desk spaces, shared bikes for quick access to the nearby Spring Creek Nature Area (nature lovers, get excited), free parking for members and guests, customizable private offices, and three enterprise-centric hospitality suites to meet the office needs of larger teams. In classic Common Desk fashion, there will be plenty of quirky and unique features that will make this DFW location as interesting and stand-out as they come, so keep your eyes peeled for fun updates in upcoming months for what those will be!

We are excited to partner with 3400 at CityLine to further expand Common Desk’s platform within the metroplex. 3400 at CityLine is Richardson’s premier asset, and Transwestern perfectly aligns with our commitment to creating a comfortable, collaborative and productive environment with all the amenities desired by today’s top professionals.

Nick Clark, Common Desk CEO/Founder

3400 at CityLine is a 313,000-square-foot, Class A building developed by Transwestern Development Company. Common Desk will occupy floors one and two of the five-story building and will play off of the buzz of the cafe, deli, and fitness center in the lobby (these building amenities alone are worth writing home about!). 3400 at CityLine was designed to offer all of the amenities that today’s top corporate users expect, and our partnership with Transwestern Development will grow this vision using our additional wheelhouse of amenities.

Speaking of, we have big plans to contribute to the already great offerings across the building. First item on the list: a full-service espresso bar powered by our coffee brand Fiction Coffee, which Common Desk members and building tenants alike will be able to order through Common Desk’s Ellum app. Other amenities include a large rentable boardroom for outside meetings (our largest conference room to date), community events for the entire development (did someone say happy hour?), and bookable yard game sets for members and tenants alike to enjoy the extended green space and trail entryway at the 3400 development (bocce players, get excited).

We chose to partner with Common Desk because we are passionate about using the amenities we’ve placed in our building to create experience, and we believe Common Desk does the best job of activating both its coworking amenities and the amenities in a Class A building. Coworking isn’t anything new, but there is still an element that isn’t fully understood from a landlord perspective. With Common Desk, there’s full transparency for us as the landlord partner, and there’s full alignment, rather than overlap, in both our leasing efforts and goal of amenitizing the building.

Will Paton, Vice President for Transwestern Development

We’re so excited to use Common Desk – Richardson to continue to meet the workspace needs of Dallas-area professionals outside of Dallas proper. We first realized the major need for flexible (and fun) office offerings in Dallas’ amazing suburbs when we opened our first space outside of the Dallas city limits in 2017 at Granite Park. Now, we have two new locations in North Dallas communities planned for 2019, and we can’t wait to see all the workdays that are improved by way of additional productive, creative, and collaborative coworking offerings making their way to both Addison and Richardson.

Common Desk – Richardson will feature a plethora of private offices, suites, shared desks, and dedicated desks, and if you’re interested in making one of these spaces your new office home, head over to our Common Desk – Richardson coworking page to subscribe to our newsletter updates.

Richardson, we cannot wait to be a part of your thriving community!
