‘Tis the season for jolly music, sparkling lights, online shopping, sipping hot cocoa, cookie decorating, tree trimming, wishing it would snow in Texas, and being enchanted by the magic of the holidays. All of these aspects of Christmas are quintessential, but one of the best parts of the holiday season is something that people easily forget to harp on. What do we mean? HOLIDAY EVENTS (especially in a place like DFW) is what we mean!

It’s the time of year where neighborhoods, brands, and businesses alike are hosting some of their best (and most fun) events, all centered around the holidays, and we think you deserve to know about some of the noteworthy ones coming up (disclaimer: we’re mentioning a few of our own) (sue us). That being said, here’s our guide to amazing Christmas events happening across Dallas-Fort Worth in the next few days and upcoming weeks!

Another disclaimer: we’re using Elf quotes to introduce all of these. Because why would we not. Speaking of Elf…

1. West End Neighborhood Holiday Movie Night Featuring Elf – (TONIGHT)

Friday, December 7 | 6 PM | Factory Six03

“Son of a nutcracker!” Elf is showing on the big screen tonight for all to enjoy! Cozy up inside of one of the West End’s most iconic buildings, Factory Six03, while you enjoy hot cocoa, fresh popcorn, and Christmas Cheer. Bring friends and family and join the West End neighborhood TONIGHT for a night of Buddy the Elf quotes and holiday whimsy!

2. Santa Paws

Sunday, December 9 | 11 AM – 3 PM | Mutts Cantina

“So, good news. I saw a dog today.” Plan ahead for those holiday greeting cards— MUTTS is hosting Santa Paws on December 9th! Join Mutts for a fun-filled day with special Winter Warmer cocktails and a photobooth with the man himself, Santa Paws! Photos with Santa are FREE for MUTTS members with a monthly or annual membership. Non-members can purchase a day pass to the dog park and photo with Santa for $12.95. Winter Warmer cocktails will be available including Rumchata Hot Chocolate and Bourbon Minted Tea. Garland Animal Services will also be on-site with adoptable dogs! Know someone who’s looking to adopt a new fur baby? Spread the word!

3. Deck The Hall Street

Daily Until Dec. 31 | 6:30 AM – 6 PM | Fiction Coffee

“You did it! Congratulations! ((World’s Best Cup of Coffee)) Great job, everybody!” One of Common Desk’s workday brands, Fiction Coffee, has transformed into into a holiday pop-up coffee bar/wonderland called Deck the Hall Street for the second year in a row to let you experience all the coffee, Christmas, and cheer your heart can handle. The holiday menu features seven craft drinks, like the signature Falala-latte with cinnamon, lavender, and star anise garnish, the Secret Santa latte with cinnamon, mocha, and jalapeño, and the Peppermint Dreams latte with chamomile and mint. Not a coffee drinker? Don’t sweat it! Deck the Hall Street has plenty of non-coffee drink options, and every drink is served in a cup of cheer. Also not to mention is that there’s plenty of coffee retail for purchase to give the coffee-lover in your life a Christmas gift they’ll love. Snap a pic in front of their token mural and share the love with #DecktheHallStreet!

4. Unbranded

Every Thursday – Saturday Through 12/22 | 11 AM – 7 PM | 1508 Commerce St, Downtown Dallas

“I’m in a store, AND I’M SINGIIIING.” Four weeks, rotating shops, gifts for all. Unbranded is a staple Downtown Dallas event that happens every Christmas season, and it’s noteworthy for a reason. Unbranded was founded in 2014 by Bryan DeLuca and Matt Alexander in an effort to uncover the very best of Dallas’ creative community through small pop-up exhibitions and event spaces. Now, Downtown Dallas, Inc. leverages this concept to activate vacant Downtown spaces. Pretty legit, huh? Make sure you swing by to support local artists and makers!

5. West End Holiday Gift Market

Tuesday, December 18 | 1 PM – 6 PM | Factory Six03

“That’s a nice purple dress. Very purpley.” Don’t let the workday keep you from crossing off big items from your holiday shopping list! Take a midday work break and discover what Common Desk’s West End pop-up market has to offer. We’re bringing local Dallas retailers together under one roof to help you enjoy a stress-free holiday. While you’re shopping, get a glimpse into what coworking in the West End looks inside the Factory Six03 building. With giveaways, coffee, snacks, and shopping this is an afternoon you won’t want to miss!

6. Miracle At HIDE

Daily Until Dec. 30 | 5 PM – 2 AM | HIDE, Deep Ellum

“SAAAANTAAAAA!!!!” Seek out Hide this Christmas, the only Dallas bar to offer its guests a true Christmas cocktail pop-up experience. Deep Ellum cocktail bar, HIDE is now serving up holiday cheer, staying true to its mission to serve the finest cocktails in Deep Ellum, but with a Christmas twist. Miracle is a Christmas themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves professionally developed holiday-themed drinks complete with extravagant Christmas décor and nostalgic vibes. Through New Year’s Eve, HIDE will be transformed into Dallas’ go-to holiday destination. Tens of thousands of Christmas lights, snowman packages and a myriad of other decorations are sure to impart Christmas cheer.

7. Enchant Christmas

Daily Until Dec. 30 | 5 PM – 11 PM *Varies By Day | Globe Life Park, Arlington

“It looks like a Christmas tree!” Unwrap new traditions and make memories that will warm your heart throughout the holidays. As you explore the World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze, glide across the ice skating trail, visit Mr & Mrs Claus, and take in the cheer of live entertainment, you’ll find enchantment around every corner. Enchant is the creator of the The World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze – now with experiences in both Arlington, Texas and Seattle, Washington that are unique to each event. The event is also host to a bustling artisan Christmas Market, an Ice Skating Trail, seasonal food and beverage, visits with Mr. and Mrs Claus, as well as exciting VIP and group experiences. It’s true – a world of Christmas wonder awaits!

And if none of these spark your interest, here’s a list of DFW holiday events that gives Santa’s list a run for its money. Tidings of comfort and joy to all of you this Christmas season!
