Fanprint: Dallas’ Top Custom T-Shirt Startup

Who are you and what are you up to?

FanPrint is an e-commerce platform built exclusively for passionate sports fans. All of the original designs are licensed by the NFLPA (National Football League Players Association), MLBPA (Major League Baseball Players Association), and NHLPA (National Hockey League Players’ Association).

Tell us your story.

FanPrint, which counts former Dallas Cowboy Darren Woodson as its director of partnerships, is a 2-year-old company and Tech Wildcatters grad that wanted to connect athletes to their fans using the power of social media.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?

All of our original, cutom t shirts are licensed by the NFLPA and created by sports fans for sports fans.

What are your biggest challenges?

Scaling to meet demand of agencies and leagues.

What are the two most valuable things you have learned since starting your business?

It’s about building a great team who are passionate about what they do.

What’s your favorite part of your work?

Working with the team to build something valuable.

What is the most time-consuming part of your work?

All of it 🙂

Do you get much free time? How do you spend it?

Limited, but spent it with my family 🙂

Where are you going from here?

Expanding our license agreements to allow fans to create designs for more licensed teams and athletes.

Are you thinking about expanding your team?

Yes – with people who are passionate about sports and building something valuable.

What is the impact of your business/ industry on your local community? On society?

Part of our company’s sales go to benefit charities as well as former athletes who have fallen on hard times.

Why did you decide to office at The Common desk?

Because Nick was so cool…and we loved the turnkey aspect of “office as a service”.
