Hey, Austin! Nice to see you here. For the past 4 years, we’ve been showcasing who you call the hottest startups of your city, and we’re excited to expand this feature outside of DFW for the first time! Austin is a city known for its startup culture, and we can’t wait to highlight all of the great Austin startups who are making big moves in the world of entrepreneurship right now.
So, if there’s a startup that you’ve been itching to share the hype about, now’s your chance to let us know who they are and why you love them! If you need a refresher on what qualifies as a startup, don’t fret, we’ve got you covered:
A startup is a company that is in the first stage of its operations. These companies are often initially bankrolled by their entrepreneurial founders as they attempt to capitalize on developing a product or service for which they believe there is a demand. Due to limited revenue or high costs, most of these small-scale operations are not sustainable in the long term without additional funding from venture capitalists. – Investopedia

- This blog is meant to showcase startups that are in our metroplex, so we’ll be checking to make sure that every startup submitted is actually local to ATX. - You’re welcome to vote for more than one startup, but please don’t vote for the same startup multiple times. We count unique votes from unique users, not total number of votes.
