For years, Far North Dallas has been growing its expansive reach while attracting a crazy high volume of residents, professionals, and large corporations. The one thing that hasn’t quite expanded across Far North Dallas yet in comparison to the rest of the metroplex? Coworking. Even though coworking spaces have been in DFW for 6 years and counting now, not nearly as many brands have landed in the Far North Dallas area. Well, today, we’re excited to announce that Common Desk is officially heading to the City of Addison with our next DFW expansion!
Located right off of the Dallas North Tollway between Belt Line and Spring Valley, Common Desk – Addison will occupy 26,500-square-feet of coworking space in our first location with our newest landlord partner, Cawley Partners, in the new highly-amenitized Fourteen5 office park.
You might be thinking, “What the heck, Common Desk? You’ve announced more new openings in the past 3 months than you have in the past 3 years.” And to that, you’re totally right. This announcement comes on the heels of our dual announcement of entering Downtown Dallas with two spaces: Common Desk – Trammell Crow Center and Common Desk – Factory Six03. Why all the growth? Because we believe there are a lot of DFW professionals out there who have yet to truly and fully enjoy their office experience, and we’re on a mission to change that. Because if you’re spending 40+ hours a week in your office, you might as well enjoy it, right?
We’ve heard so many requests to bring Common Desk to the Lower Tollway/Addison area over the years. FOURTEEN5 is a visionary project with a robust amenity set, and it provides the perfect space for our exciting entry into Addison. More so, the opportunity to collaborate with Cawley, a nimble and well-regarded local firm, was incredibly attractive to us. We’re excited to work with the Cawley team to make an already elite building even more special.
Nick Clark, founder and CEO of Common Desk
Common Desk – Addison will be a collaborative coworking space that spans across two floors in Phase One of Fourteen5. Our North Dallas coworking space will feature contemporary finishes throughout the entire space with high ceilings and modern windows allowing in all the natural light we know you need and love. Also not to mention are wrap around window views of the area. Worried about traffic? You can track it just by looking out of your office window! Common Desk – Addison features a mix of private offices ranging in size from 1-person to 10-person, team spaces, shared desks, and flexible work environments like collaborative booths and banquettes. One brand new Common Desk feature that we’re especially excited about for this space is our game lounge, which will help you take the edge off your workday over a game of ping pong or shuffleboard. Speaking of lounges– we’ll also have a cocktail lounge situated in the heart of the space, where members can grab a quick craft cocktail any day of the week.
The cool part about partnering with Cawley Partners is that the amenities of the entire Fourteen5 building or within Common Desk aren’t exclusive; we get to work together to make sure members and tenants alike have access to great amenities and programming across the entire park. Tenants and future members can get pumped for boot camp-style fitness classes with Social Mechanics that will happen around the park, community dinners made on the grill and served under the stars at Fourteen5’s shared courtyard, networking events from the rooftop patio, and pickup basketball games happening from the building’s open air basketball court. Another exciting perk? Free garage parking for all (praise hands).
Phase One is currently the only building in the park, but Phase Two’s construction is already underway, which, when finished, will face directly across the courtyard from our space. Between the two buildings is what Cawley calls the “Hub,” and rightfully so, as it acts as the hub for the major amenities and perks of the park.
On the ground floor of the Hub, you can find an Ascension Coffee (their only North Dallas location) and a full-service restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Floor 2 of the Hub features a beautiful fitness center with every machine you could need to get in a quick mid-workday workout (also not to mention is that the locker rooms are top of the line and will help you freshen up and get back to work fast). And last but not least, on the top floor of the Hub is an open-air, covered terrace / rooftop patio with re-arrangable booths and soft seating, rocking chairs centered around a beautiful, open air fire pit, and a covered outdoor kitchen. Get ready for lots of movie nights, Fall bonfires around the firepit, and Common Desk happy hours here!
We’ve seen the caliber of space Common Desk delivers and the types of tenants this rapidly-growing coworking firm attracts. We have no doubt that a partnership with Common Desk is a perfect match for this Class-A building. With Common Desk, we’ll be able to provide an innovative environment with unique features that will appeal to current and future FOURTEEN5 tenants.
