To enhance every work day by creating thoughtful moments, human connections, and a sense of belonging for all.
Common Desk members range from startups, freelancers and nonprofits to corporate enterprise workers, fast-growing small businesses and remote teams. Social Mechanics: Located in East Dallas on Lower Greenville, Social Mechanics uses a functional strength and conditioning program incorporating foundational lifts, body weight movements, yoga and cardio to make guests feel better no matter what their lives demands. Cristen Trousdale serves as the gym’s general manager. She founded the facility in 2012 with a passion for building community around a fun fitness environment. Common Desk members receive discounted monthly memberships and drop-in rates at the gym. The Social Mechanics brand will soon accompany Common Desk in a few of its newest locations offering functional fitness, yoga, spin and other wellness classes to all occupants of the buildings it serves. This offering will now give landlords a choice to either build out a full-service gym or simply provide a curriculum of wellness classes to tenants. Fiction Coffee: Escape reality and enter Fiction Coffee, a full-service coffee shop with a relaxing environment and an experiential approach to coffee. Currently, the brand has one storefront location on Ross and Hall in downtown Dallas, and the shop is also found inside Common Desk’s Deep Ellum coworking space. Spencer Fox serves as the General Manager. A variety of craft coffee, teas and light bites make up the menu. Every season, Fiction Coffee debuts several experiential drinks on its “Fictional Menu.” Additional locations are planned across DFW.
The Common Desk staff thrive off of helping our members grow their businesses. We strive to find ways to decrease your stress and increase your productivity. We believe everyone should enjoy where they work, and we do all that we can to make every day at the office a noteworthy one.
